Kaduna State governor, Senator Uba Sani, has assured President Bola Tinubu that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will capture 95 percent of the votes in the state during the 2027 general elections.

Sani made the declaration at the weekend, at a mega rally held at Murtala Square, Kaduna, where 4 members of the state’s House of Assembly, 5 members of the 10th House of Representatives, and thousands of their supporters officially defected to the APC.
With the new defections, the APC now holds 13 of Kaduna’s 16 seats in the House of Representatives, while the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) retains only three. In the state Assembly, the ruling party now commands 26 seats, when compared to PDP’s eight.
According to the governor: “We don’t have any opposition in Kaduna. A few months ago, I assured President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that we were targeting 80 percent of the votes. But today, I’ve raised that target, Kaduna will deliver 95 percent of the total votes to the APC in 2027.”, he stated.
